Old Forester 1910 is the final release in the Whiskey Row Series, and it emulates that rescued Whiskey in being moved to a heavily charred (almost burned) second barrel. When it’s mature enough, it’s bottled at 93 proof. Old Forester 1910 is a wonderful mad scientist’s experiment that delivers a unique and unprecedented flavor.

Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky is the fourth and final limited edition whiskey in the brand's Whiskey Row series first introduced in 2014. The Kentucky straight bourbon attempts to recreate a whiskey created in October 1910 when a fire caused the brand's bottling line to be shut down. A vat of mature whiskey was ready to be bottled and so as not to further age in the barrels were placed into new, charred oak containers to rest while the bottling line was fixed. This recreation enters the second barrel at 100 proof and is placed into lightly toasted, heavily charred barrels to finish maturation. Bottled at 93 proof, this is available beginning October 2018.
Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Layered aromas of buttercream, toffee, cedar and apricot.
Palate: Smooth and well-rounded palate of sweet oatmeal cookies and milk chocolate, followed by flavors of caramel corn and spices.
Finish: Dominating charred oak finish with a spicy echo.

Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and denys today as the oldest fully-operating Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Situated in heart of bourbon country on 196 acres, the Distillery boasts 29 barrel aging warehouses, 22 other buildings including an impressive still house, and the legendary Tom Moore Spring. Named in honor of the year Kentucky joined the United States, Barton 1792 offers three tours of the Distillery: the Barton Tradition Tour, the Bushel to Bottle Tour and the 1792 Estate Tour.
