Each batch of Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Black Label Tennessee Whiskey starts its life with a mash bill consisting of 80% corn, 12% barley, and 8% rye which is fermented in the sour mash method before being distilled. The resulting spirit is then filtered through a thick layer of Maplewood charcoal in a process known as mellowing, after which, it is then left to mature in new, charred American oak barrels, slowly developing its distinctive flavor over the course of several years before finally being tapped, cut with pure water, and finally bottled.

Nose: Once poured, this whiskey yields a welcoming nose of overripe citrus, sweet grain, brown sugar, maple, spice, and toasted oak.
Palate: This is then followed by a sweet and velvety palate of burnt toffee, fresh cherry pie, bananas, caramel corn, vanilla, and bitter char.
Finish: A scrumptious and equally smooth finish of tropical fruits, candy corn, and spice.
