Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose is alcohol forward with notes similar to the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof offerings. Aromas of toasted vanilla, caramel, and oak are present.
Palate: The first sip is thin and underwhelming. The high proof is briefly evident on the tip of the tongue, but quickly fades. Slight heat is noted in the back palate. The second sip is accompanied by a flash of heat on the front and sides of the tongue. Faint notes of oak and vanilla are present. The third sip seems to have more heat than flavor. Faint notes of oak are accompanied by effervescent alcohol.
Finish: The finish is hot and short-lived. The alcohol and heat from the bourbon are overwhelming.
