The new Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Baijiu style bottling, according to those behind it, is distilled like a whiskey but produced using traditional Baijiu ingredients of sorghum and peas. After aging the distillate for 11 years in three separate casks, uncharred, charred and toasted white oak, the spirits were married together and bottled at 90 proof.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Finish is very smooth and long.

"Its namesake bourbon brand, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey, was introduced in August 1999. The name "Buffalo Trace" refers to the ancient buffalo trackway that crosses the Kentucky River in Franklin County, Kentucky. The Sazerac Company purchased the distillery in 1992."
